We have spent the past week in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Ken has been working on the boats electrical system, rewiring all the batteries. The batteries were not charging which meant no refrigerator, water pressure, engine charge, etc.
Fortunately we were invited by sailors we met, Art and his wife Linda, to "follow us to my house and you can work on your boat at my dock." And so we did. Five hours down the Jersey Shore with the last two up a shallow river and into a marshy, meandering, narrow creek.
Their hospitality and kindness have been a blessing and greatly appreciated. We may be back out to sea by Thursday.

You found good folks because you have good karma! Safe sailing.

Hmmm, the universe always provides. A breakdown on your boat gave you a blessing in making new friends and seeing a part of the waterways you would never otherwise have seen. Always something to be grateful for even when it seems like there's a problem.
ReplyDeleteHope you are back out to sea today and on your way to new and wonderful adventures. Much love to you both.
