Latest Update
We made it down the rest of the Jersey shore in some rough seas to anchor in Cape May. We had a problem with the engine overheating so had to get a tow to a marina. Luckily, there is a service center and we are waiting for the weather to calm down so we can haul out and get her fixed.

Still Here
We have been in Little Egg Harbor, NJ an extra week getting boat projects done. A huge thanks to our host, Art. He has been so generous with his time, tools, transportation, tales and so much more!!!!

Little Egg Harbor, NJ
We have spent the past week in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Ken has been working on the boats electrical system, rewiring all the batteries. The batteries were not charging which meant no refrigerator, water pressure, engine charge, etc.
Fortunately we were invited by sailors we met, Art and his wife Linda, to "follow us to my house and you can work on your boat at my dock." And so we did. Five hours down the Jersey Shore with the last two up a shallow river and into a marshy, meandering, narrow creek.
Their hospitality and kindness have been a blessing and greatly appreciated. We may be back out to sea by Thursday.

Hurricane Hermine
The predictions of this storm hitting us were a bit concerning. The weather forecast changes hourly...from missing us to winds at 65 mph. Today has been the roughest with the wind gusting to 40 mph. And so, we crept into a marina where we are safe and calm and not bobbing up and down and lashing back and forth. We (mostly Ken) have been on anchor or a mooring buoy for over 3 weeks so it is a great luxury to be on land (a dock). We will wait until the seas settle before we head back down the Jersey Shore.
